Alderman William D. "Will" Burns (4) Not To Seek Election to US Congress in 2nd District.

Today, Will Burns stated that his responsibilities as alderman of the Fourth Ward prevent him from running for Congress in the 2nd Congressional District.

"I was elected alderman by the people of the Fourth Ward to create living wage jobs, secure new housing and retail development, and to improve the quality of life on the mid-south side.  The work is not done, and I remain committed to completing several transformative economic development projects. 

Simply put, my commitment to the people of the Fourth Ward must come before a campaign for Congress."
